Default Clemson hatred to be tested

What are some of you folks that hate Clemson more than you love U of SC going to feel Saturday night? Your best chance of getting into the playoffs resides in a Clemson win. How badly do you hate Clemson? A singular win Saturday night would equal South Carolina’s entire 120+ years of football achievement. Are you OK with that if it gets both teams into the playoffs?

Dang, you salty about that loss, aren't you? Enjoy the chance to win a championship and get to the playoffs. The loss didn't take any goals away from your team.

I'll answer the question, though. I don't care one way or the other, because sc ain't getting in over alabama. There is no way that would happen.

I’m not really salty, at all. I expected the team that was certainly playing better to win, and they did. I was surprised it was that close, and I hate that Clemson couldn’t punch it in at the end, but I’m certainly glad they didn’t run it twice and send it to OT. That would’ve bothered me.

I think SC could get in over Bama, honestly. I’d put them in right now.

Not enough spots for both. SMU will be in win or lose.

SC accomplished a lot this season and will go down as a good year. Clemson played a good game and Saturday's game could have gone either way. I think brand bias will keep SC out. I won't be upset if Clemson gets in.

SMU is West Virginia in sheep's clothing,....only better. We very well may see a Clemsoning.

If clemson wins, they get in, along with SMU. If they lose, they are out for sure, and SMU is in.

I keep telling my boys that is USC wanted in the playoffs, they would have played like it and taken care of business all season versus a “November to remember”. It sucks we are at a point where in a 12 game season that 3 losses has a chance to get in. Interesting, yes…deserving, no.

I can live with the whole college football world knowing who the hottest team in the land is right now. The mere fact we are even having this discussion makes this season a success no matter what happens this weekend. Maybe the Tigers can make a run. Good for them. No hate from here as I’m the lone Chicken in a house full of Tigers and Volunteers.
A South Carolina vs Clemson national title game would be epic, at least for our state.

It's official. SC at 14th and will not be reevaluated. The only teams that have a chance at moving are team in conference championships.

Brand bias got us. Every point he explained to keep Alabama in front of Miami mirrored why SC could have been in front of both.

    That's what I was thinking
He should just enjoy Saturday's battle for the "tallest midget"
Climp5in is 0-3 against ranked teams and 1-4 against teams with winning records.
This thread wreaks of borderline pathetic

Y’all’s heads would explode if Dabo won Saturday and ended up playing for a NC and winning. That meltdown would be epic.

In all seriousness though, the likelihood of that happening is slim to none with none having a healthy lead. Be funny as hell though. Congrats again on the win Saturday.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

It’s hard to lobby for a three loss team I get it. Regardless of the SC situation they have GOT TO put a stronger metric on strength of schedule vs W and L I think. If you blow everyone out and are undefeated but play no one, what does that mean? Fuckit, if that’s the case include the D 2 teams or at least the D 2 champ and runner up. It should be the best teams, not necessarily always the best records. They looked at it that way last year with Fl State. Indiana? Are you fucking serious? Look at their schedule. Same with Boise St. Lane K was right when he said some of these teams would be 500 at best if they played anyone. AND Alabama lost to Vandy.....just let that simmer. ND should have to play in every year they’re “eligible” since no conference championship game. If they put that much emphasis on conference championship win for auto berth, why don’t losers of those games get in to? They played for the conf. Championship? Seems that would be your top 10 there with 2 at large bids.

    Bingo.

9-3 with a SOS ranking of 1-20 is better than undefeated,11-1, or 10-2 with a SOS ranking of 50-100.

I would pull for Clemson Saturday just to see if they will boot Alabama out............but I'll bet my farm with SMU at #8, they will boot them out to keep Alabama in.

Climp5in playing in the ACC Championship tells you all you need to know about the weak ass ACC.
but it may be the last one they play in for awhile, their recruiting is gradually falling off a cliff
Currently Climp5in is #29 for the 2025 class
SC is currently ranked ahead of them in both the 25 and 26 classes
SC is currently ranked #6 for the 2026 class and had some heavy weight recruits at the last 6 straight wins they have had, with 4 being against ranked teams.

I understand Tigers getting in if they win Saturday, know very little about SMU

However have to admit it would really suck for Coots to not get in but only 12 spots so it is what it is , on fence about Boise State and Indiana getting in but then again do not know much about them

Just like NCAA Basketball TX, no matter how many teams you have someone is left out . Loss to LSU really haunting Coots now

Even had the scenario played out as stated, I would have given the outcome of the all cupcake championship zero thought.

Control what you can control. You can't control the rankings as a bubble team. You can control the stupid penalties against LSU and not sealing the deal against Bama. Win one of those and it's not a debate.

    Oh and Fuck Clemson.

with the better teams losing to teams that were 14 or more point underdogs, I think staying undefeated in todays college football world is a big deal.

and I am just glad sc is somewhat relevant this year.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
