Whatever brand tools you have, find a saw that goes with it.

I have all Dewalt tools so I went with the pruning saw and I love it. It pretty much stays in the Ranger.

When I need power away from home I use a power inverter instead of hauling a generator around. Just connect it to the battery, hook up a drop cord and your good to go.

I've got the Harbor Freight knock-off of the Honda, so it isn't too cumbersome.

But, yeah, that seems a lot easier, regardless.

What tool platform do you use for drills, sawzall, circular saw, etc? The Milwaukee, Dewalt chainsaws do just fine for the light stuff - 3-4”- and smaller and uses same batteries as what you might already have and you can pickup any consumables at any home improvement store.
If you want something a little bigger the Stihl is hard to beat. But a little pricey.

The pistol grip sawzall that beech posted is handy also. Great for easy to reach stuff, one handed, and will make quick work of cleaning a deer. Trimmed shooting lanes and cut up 10-12 deer on 2 charges of a 3.0 amh battery last year. Had to charge it third time for last deer of the season.

Biggest bonus is that the wife is not scared of the electric vs. the screaming gas saw. She’ll grab it and not ask me to do it!!!

The 60v Flexvolt dewalt is a monster. Better than ego.

Milwaukee is nice. Makita is anemic.

Buy the one that you have batteries from tools for, be it DeWalt, Milwaukee, whatever.
