    Default 11/7 Chasing

Got to get off work early tonight and slip into the woods. Saw a few does come out then this one came out grunted a few times and pushing some does around. Camera got a picture of him right before he got smacked. Looks like he has lost some weight!

Nice buck. Serious question. How long till they got used to feeders. Thinking about getting some with the price of corn over the last few years.

Not long... a few weeks. Just have them going off at least 90 min before sunrise/sunset. It's more about the lack of intrusion for me... I can keep out of for weeks at a time instead of re corning every 3-4 days. Some older bucks tolerate feeders and some will skirt them. Does and yearlings get used to them pretty quick. Generationally, I have bucks that grew up under feeders and don't pay them any mind. I also have some that grew up under them and don't care for them... go figure.

After shooting that one the other day had me looking back through some photos. Last six years all but one of the buck deers that have been taken out of the same stand. Not all taken by me. Few my brothers have one was my brother and his sons first deer together. Good stuff for sure fellas!!!! Enjoy it!!!

Just glad I’ve been able to share it with some friends and family.
