    I can remember when Edgefield had a meat packing plant and half a dozen sawmills and planer mills. You could get your own pigs and cows processed and have your own lumber milled. It seems like that would be feasible to come around again.

    That is a sight to see. When I lived there it was wild, and I drove through the other day and it was even larger...Nestled between 2 paper mills...

    How in the fuck do we let the penal colony get ahead of us? All of our leaders should be wards of the penal system.

    We do nothing to keep our long term industry but we spread our legs for anyone wanting to move here. It makes no sense. I am not saying the state could force IP to stay but they definitely should be vocal and trying to keep them.
