    Default Boat Stereo Help

I have a boss boat stereo with a small Bluetooth head unit and a 4 way amp. Went out this weekend and I can’t get it to play music. It turns on and phone connects, but no music sound. I’ve checked all connections and everything looks fine. When turning on and going up to max volume there is sound coming out of the speakers, just won’t play music. What do I do next? Just buy a new one? Or is there more trouble shooting? Also I’ve tried multiple phones so I don’t think that’s the problem.

Those systems are pretty disposable unfortunately

Issue is likely in the amp, you can disconnect and validate each item is working independently.

Forget the device on your bluetooth phone settings and then repair to phone. Also check your phone volume to make sure it's up and you're not paired to another device like your vehicle.

Phone volume is first thing I'd check and make sure phone isn't connected to another Bluetooth speaker or something nearby. Make sure there isn't a mute button on the stereo as well. If all else fails disconnect/forget and re-pair the two.

Thanks everyone. I tried everything phone pairing related and I don’t think that’s the problem. I ordered a new one. Should be able to just plug and play. If that doesn’t work I’ll probably go the turtle box route
