I have a trailer load of barrels I am sending up for burn barrels. They're generating a lot of trash and dont have trash service, obviously. If anyone has any room hollar. I wont be able to make it back up until next week.

You are correct Smilee. But God has led and blessed me with the ability and resources to reach to those that have suffered greater losses. I have spent my time with a chainsaw in SC too.

I got a bag of clothes (shirts, work pants, slacks etc.) with some boots and work shoes in really good shape. I'm going to go through some outer-wear stuff and put it in there. If you know or can take it, I'd love to get it in your hands. All these places here want to send it to Goodwill to distribute.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Does anyone know of a church or a drop off spot that has supplies but needs help getting the supplies to people?
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

You are right. Know folks went down to Greenwood to cut her disabled Aunt out of the house. Four trees on the house and she couldn't get out. Returned last week to remove trees and cover the roof. there are people in both SC and NC who are going to need LONG term help to get on their feet. People that have lost all they own. Now with Milton hitting Florida i am afraid these folk will be out of the spot light and forgotten as usual.

What about used clothing donations? I saw something about the dropping temps and I feel sure all their winter clothes were lost as well.

The donation thing on TV said NEW coats and jackets. If I didnt have a coat i would wear a used coat as i suspect the mountain folks would also. Those folks are resilient and will make do whit what they have on hand in a pinch. They need everything you got and use on a daily basis or at work. I do understand NEW seeing some of the stuff Goodwill and Salvation Army get that shouid have been trashed not donated. If you wouldn't wear it?? I have a lot of lightly and never worn coats and jackets i dont wear either not my style or to little now.

My contact has stopped taking clothing and is asking everyone to take bags of clothing to Goodwill after they have finished donating. There are not enough resources to piece through the bags, wish and then distribute. Taking them to Goodwill is the correct action. Goodwill is set up to handle clothing.
