Default Carolina Emergency Response Team helicopter rescues

Excuse typos...getting over pneumonia and still a bit off...anyways.

I'm sure some of you are seeing what the guys at CERT are doing in NC right now. Those that have not they have organized over 20 civilian owned helicopters, multiple pilots, and fuel for rescues\ recon. This all being done with volunteers and donations it's pretty amazing. Whats even more amazing\ infuriating is wtf was a volunteer organization able\required to mobilize such an effort faster than our government on or own soil for our own people!? If you weren't feed up before this should be the last straw.

Yeah, we can put the 82nd Airborne anywhere on this planet in 18 hours but it’s taken almost a week for them to get across the state they are stationed in. And I know it’s not the soldiers themselves as they would get there on their own.

That's actually what really set me off...CERT had members of the 82 Airborne and members of NC congress on board a volunteer flight yesterday to survey damage! What the actual fuck? They took a volunteer helicopters out of a rescue mission when they have access to God knows how many...I totally spaced on putting that in the op...it's maddening

This guy is an EMT and flew in from Arizona to help..........what a waste of resources.

    "Day 7. Of deployment.
    Greenville SC still.
Still alive. Nothing to report that I can post at this time. The management team went and bought games to help the morale of the team. Their hands are tied as far as sending us out and makes sense.
Hoping someone in that big White House makes some better decisions, for the American people and not the overseas people so we can move and do what we came here to do "

Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

Have a friend up there using motorcycles to access hard to get areas ( difficult riding ) and relaying coordinates for supplies to be dropped. He was disappointed about the resources taken away for the damage survey. But, what really set him off was the no fly order given for Biden to do his flyover. Completely stopped everything for that. My understanding is it stopped air efforts for an almost 3 hours. There are a few articles that state that exceptions to restrictions would be made to relief efforts if coordinated before departure. But he said that air traffic pretty much stopped.JABB’s time lapse video of chopper traffic would be interesting to see during that time

My buddy’s group has had FEMA try to turn them back on the bikes, but they’ve been ignoring them and going in anyway.
Fox News is now reporting in the no-fly order.

I don’t understand the chopper pilot altercation and FEMA turning people around other than an organization controlling the process and area and accountability for same. Otherwise I don’t get it.
