Great thread for one of the best shotguns ever made. My go to bird gun is a 1962 Belgium Light 20. Fixed 28"modified is a killer. I haven't shot a turkey with it yet. Any suggestions on shell combo that may fit that bill with this gun?

I used to shoot them exclusively in the 70's and 80's. I have some in one safe that I never shoot anymore. I need to fix that...

Yep, 20 gauge TSS should be widely available. It was hard to track down 16 gauge, but Apex Ammunition occasionally puts out some runs of it. TSS and a modified choke is still plenty to kill a turkey at any reasonable range.

Never bought one, dad loved them. Bunch of 12’s, couple of 16’s and a 20. Belgians and Miraku’s. First gun I shot on a dove field was a REM Model 11 clone. If I killed a bird on the first shot, I still emptied the gun. Had a cold December shoot one day and I loaded that gun until my fingers bled. My dad loved Brownings, Auto 5, A500’s, B2000, Citoris, BSS, BAR’s. John Moses Browning was like a cult hero to him. Old SXS’s too, wish I had more time to shoot them.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Parkland Pharmacy...boy that brings up some memories. I used to train a lot with Tommy Lackland. What a great guy. I wonder who owns those plastic ponds at Sandy Run now?

Dad let me keep his A5 my Senior year (late 70's) under my bed in the dorm.
