    Default Deer Problems

What is the best method that y'all have used to keep deer out of a small corn field?

They're already feeding in the field and no measure such as Milorganite is going to stop them now. Either fence it or shoot them or let them have it

Scarecrows would be a pretty good temporary fix

How small is small? We’ve had decent luck running wire or string on the perimeter and tying plastic grocery bags about every 10 feet. There is also some spray you can buy that smells like rotten eggs that works for a little bit but seems to be less effective once a heavy rain comes down.

The best method is a double electric fence with two fences about 5 feet apart, with both being about 5 feet in height. Look up the double electric fence method and there some state extension office articles and plans for them out there. Its a priceier option, but will be one of the only true methods to keep them out of there since they have already found it.
