Man that's slick. I was excited last week when I purchased a new disc. I can't imagine having that thing.

Here are some updated pics from the last round of food plots. Everything seemed to do well. I regret not staggering the rows. Oats and beans then clover etc. All these plots were no till that was sprayed shortly before planting.

The rows that seem to stop then pick back up was due to the seed drop stopping up. I have since replaced a few. The one pic where the food looks way thicker is where we went ahead and made a few more passes to empty the drill. Hopefully with some lime and fertilizer, these plots will look better next year.

    It’s still going strong.

Get rid of the rubber boots on top of the drop tubes.

Do some side by side comparison to tilled vs non-tilled and you will see the difference. Small grains and brassicas will thrive more. Your plots are becoming more compacted with each pass across them.

And there is no cost savings, a gallon of diesel does a lot of work.

I have. There advantages with both. I prefer no till. I’ve had to spray less and use less fertilizer . I will probably go in and disc everything next year then back to no till for awhile.

Any idea how it would do in rocky clay ground?

The biggest advantage of no till that I see is keeping the moisture in the ground. Every time I would disc I could see the ground getting drier. I usually plant early September and rain is usually scarce.
