    Fly out and drive back.

for $3500-$4500 they will process your elk/pack it/ freeze it/ ship it.

buy a couple cheap coolers and bags, debone yourself and drive it back.

My FIL has been going to AK hunting and fishing for over 50 years. He almost always drives and takes a chest freezer and a small generator in the back of the truck to bring back his meat and fish.

Poaching locally is (potentially) cheaper and you're home in time to watch Meat-eater.

I think to process deboned meat and ship from MT in 2021 was around $800.
