Any Punta Cana Fans out there?

Hey Guys, hitting Punta Cana Dominican Republic in a couple of weeks for a little R&R. But as you know.....that will include fishing. So, I did some googling on Punta Cana fishing with Big Marlin Charters there, but was wondering if any Noreasters fished down there that could possibly save me some leg work. Any comments or Suggestions about the island and fishing would be greatly appreciated as well.

We went last year and fished on Unbelievable with Capt. VJ Bell. We went 4/6 on whites and had a blue in the spread but didn’t capitalize. I believe VJ is currently there, but will head back to Stuart soon though.

I went with Big Marlin Charters in April. Very unimpressed. It was tourist fishing. Mate wasn't checking baits, etc. Capt wasn't moving spots to try to find fish. We caught two barracuda.

Google Mona Pass or Mona Passage. There is a reason most sporties down there are in the 80' range. We tried to fish and got absolutely beat to death.
