Default 1987 Land Cruiser R2.8 Cummins repower

This one is getting the 2.8 Cummins and the Tremec trans. Parts are on order however he has a buyer for the 4.2 so out it comes. Should be a cool build.

Be nice with the 2.8 Turbo diesel engine getting rid of Toyota and their carbs with a million vacuum lines

    Yep, it moved.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Wow thats awesome. I FINALLY just got my '86 FJ60 back after three years of work. I kept the 2F and added a Holley Sniper, headers, exhaust, and upgraded radiator and bunch of other various work. Seeing posts like this makes me regret that haha. Was considering an LS swap or Cummins.

Looks great and keep us posted.

Whenever it's time for a 'new' vehicle for me ... a mint 60 series is high on the list. This one looks like it'll be a fun one to drive.

Would this be able to pull a 22’ trailer full of cabinets?!?

Seen anyone try this in a first gen tacoma? Guessing the auto transmission might be problematic with the gearing?
