Thinning is great but clear cutting and replanting sucks the way they do it today in an active timber operation. They suppose to advise are spraying but never do. With some of the stuff they spray the re-entry time is 8 to 12 hours. Would hate to be out there when they start spraying.

All said we get along good with our timer managers. As said they still could care less about a hunting lease and manage as they see fit. Some members don’t like what they do and I tell they it is their way or the highway. They would have it leased to someone else in an hour.

If you think that a timber company gives .01 of a shit about anything other than pine trees, go ahead and give them a call.

X!0..........Timber is their crop commodity.....YOU. The hunting lease holder, don't matter......You area "guest" on their property and have ZERO say in how they manage it.......BTW I leased from timber co's for over 30 years.
