That sign is at Hwy 34 and Hwy 76.

Old Southern names have meaning and correct pronunciations. I think I was in 5th grade when I went to a Park Service ranger's ass at Fort Sumter for mispronouncing Moultrie.

Now let's do Clemson which the 'necks have bastardized into Cleeeimpsun...

I find accents and pronunciations interesting. It can answer a lot of questions without any being asked.

Still annoys me that my wife changed me saying Supper to Dinner unconsciously.
Dinner was a fancy white table cloth event growing up. To others it’s lunch.

I thought the distinction was what time you're eating, not how fancy it is.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Huger.

I spent 32 years of my life in Clinton.. .Its Clinnon. I always enjoyed going to the lake and hearing people pronounce Chappells SC like the last name of the comedian Dave Chappelle. It was also widely pronounced Craw Hill instead of Cross Hill. It was also a struggle between Laurens and Lerens from the much older generation.
