Default Pistol gunsmith Charleston or Columbia area

My sig365 won’t seat a round when I close the chamber. Who in charleston or Columbia works on pistols?

Will it not seat ever? Or, only when you are chambering the first round out of a fully loaded magazine?

I haven’t shot it in a year. Went to chamber a round recently and it won’t chamber first round, not riding the slide down.

Won't chamber the first round in a fully loaded mag?

What happens if you take a few rounds out of the mag and chamber a round?

Won’t chamber fully loaded, won’t chamber with only one round in mag, won’t chamber if I just put the round in the chamber and release the slide.

I was between this and the Glock but shot this better.

Disassemble the firearm, drop a round in the chamber and see if it fully seats. If not, clean the chamber.

    Or try different ammo.

Check your extractor to insure it’s not stuck. Check it with a punch if you can to make sure it’s moving freely. It may not be allowing the round under it. Ensure the guide rod and spring are assembled in the correct orientation. As scatter shot said try different ammo. You could have a bad round. Try different rounds from that same box. You may have done this already but try to put a round in the chamber without a magazine in and see if it will chamber and lock up. It could be some interference with the magazine. Not likely but possible.

Make sure extractor is "springy" and if there's a patch of rust or something in the chamber.

Are you sure it’s the correct ammo?

I'll be glad to help. I'll give you $100 for it and you can go buy another pistol.
