Reports coming out that SC is hiring 66 year old, retired from LSU for the last three years, Paul Mainieri.

Seems about right for a Tanner hire.

Wouldn't be my first choice and maybe not even Tanner's, but he has a great resume. Hiring a 66 year old is not something recruits will coming running for imo.

Not from what I'm hearing out of North Greenville. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Great damn game. Weak ass ending. Umps suck.

Bakich got himself tossed. He went out before Leggett. The umps statement says this much. Bakich was thrown for trying to incite the crowds involvement while the umps were trying to discuss the bat spike. They warned him and told him to let them discuss and head to the dugout. He then raised his arms to incite the crowd and was tossed for that. It’s 2 things happening simultaneously but jack was not the reason Bakich was tossed. He had already started that road before.

As long as Jack Leggett is in that dugout…..zero chance at Omaha…kind of embarrassing a non coach A) was in uniform…kinda and b) got tossed

Yeah I talked to some of my buddies that work with his wife and I don't see him leaving NG to be an assistant but who knows. I was convinced they were hiring Monte until about 30 minutes ago.

Yeah he better put one hell of a staff together that understands NIL / Portal stuff. Dude has one heck of a resume and knows how to coach but his age is concerning to me as well.

you coot fans have a weird perspective. I dont like any of our football rivals. You get beat so badly by yours that you have to pull for them in baseball?

4 SEC and 4 ACC teams in the World Series. Should be a good one.

Just not UGA.. man it was disappointing. Bases loaded and not a run to be scored.

Phelps went 3-5. He is a future MLB prospect I hope.

You are probably correct , looked at age and thought WTH but this day an age how long they gonna stay anyway

Dude can get job done and I figure USuC has plenty of NIL money to work with . Hearing “rumors already that Cam Cannarella is ripe for NIL/transfer portal right now
