So I’m drooling and following this but I have a hard time at the price point of a sr22 barrel for the take down. As practical as it is I may just have to do it.

Those look pretty cool. I had somewhat leaned towards that route, but decided on short & folding instead.

I assume the barrels break-down for cleaning? And is it just me, or is the barrel ~2" wide in the top pic?

I am not a fan of the Ruger ISB barrel which is on the green gun.

Try to find a cheap 1022 take thats bone stock and grab this. - https://www.gemtech.com/product/mist-22td

    Wow that pretty slick.

Yes that green gun has the Ruger ISB barrel. It makes it look like its an over/under, its heavy, it is not as accurate as the single baffle setups because its a dual/stacked baffle.

Overall would not recommend this barrel. - https://ruger.com/micros/silent-sr-ISB/index.html

I've been wanting to hear a personal evaluation of the Ruger silenced barrel.

I have a Gemtech Mist and love it. One of the things I like about it is that the shape doesn't suggest that it's anything other than target barrel. I also like that it is ported so standard velocity ammo shoots subsonic. Mine is more accurate than I can shoot.

I chuckled when I read a comment a few years ago that Gemtech should have picked a different name for a barrel than Mist.

Just an FYI, the easiest way I've found to clean the baffles is a baking soda blaster. I use an small sand blast tank but I have used a simpler device below that works plenty well. I just use regular baking soda that comes from Costco in big bags.

I've never heard of Tandemkross and need to look into them. I have a Volquartsen lower in mine and I'm happy enough.

TK makes some pretty cool stuff for various weapons. I'd like to add a few of their things to my Tactical Solutions / Volquartsen pistol.

They contributed greatly to this little thing:

Yep, not a fan of the Ruger ISB.

Agreed on the Gemtech... its just a perfect setup and deadly.

Thanks for advice on cleaning, also had never heard of Volquartsen so thanks!

I need to find someone who does Bobcat suppressor sight upgrades; I wonder if that's even a thing?
