    I had two days of meetings that, luckily, ended on a Friday afternoon so I got to stay over until Sunday evening.

    If you're looking for a place to go, I'd say just do it. It's amazingly clean and fresh feeling. I don't think I would have ever considered it a vacation spot but, all the sudden, I think taking a 7-10 days to drive the loop road around would be the best vacation ever.

    I didn't have time to drive the whole island loop so took Friday evening to drive the loop around Hvalfjordur (I think it means whale bay) - not far from the airport and Reykjavik.







    "Carbing up for the puffin tour"...it was the only touristy thing I did but it was the only way to get out to the islands where the puffins are...

    My sister and brother in law went there before having their first child 7 years ago and have talked no less than 100 times about how they want to go back and everyone should go there.

    These guys have been known to play an ice floe or two in Iceland. Pretty cool vid, pretty cool sound.....
