Freshwater or Salt? Inshore or Off? Bills or Meat?

Anything freshwater

Bream on the beds, crappie, trotline/jugs/rod and reel for catfish, largemouth, spots, white bass, stripers, jon boats or bass boats it don’t matter

Don’t care a thing about saltwater, doesn’t remotely interest me. Back in April I turned down a trip from a vendor through work for an all expense paid trip to fly to Florida and fish for two days off shore and fly back. I said thanks, but no thanks.

30 years ago I thought the same. Trout, bass, crappie, bream, catfish etc. then a buddy convinced me to go on a charter. First fish was a cuda, the second was about a 65# YFT and that was it, I get bored as hell fishing inshore or freshwater. I mean I like it when the bite is on but would much rather drop down and catch who knows what.

I've done the offshore thing enough to know I'd rather fish in a jon boat with a paddle.
and why do you have to drive 4 hours to a certain depth to fish topwater? Never made sense to me.

Inshore. Spottail bass, trout, flounder

This is my true love but have to settle for stripers on Hartwell & Russell in between

Got several folks that crappie fish and keep my freezer full with those


Grew up catching anything, My Dad not a huge outdoors person but his love was offshore fishing Miss those days and have not been offshore in many years other than chasing kings out of Charleston and PCB.

I've had one of those days where I feel like I've been waterboarded with fresh water in a small boat way offshore and been beaten and stabbed in my meat with a broken off billfish sword. Does that apply? If not, I hope it helps someone feel better about their day!

How’d it go?

Not as well as Thursday but in two half day trips she and I landed 8 of 12 bones.
She caught her first ever OTF and ended up with multiple fish.
It was good stuff....
