We had the Japs beaten easily it was just a matter of time. The 2 things that do amaze me are all the data we got from Unit 731. Everyone jumps up and down about paper clip. 731 is very rarely mentioned, and all the Dr's that participated in not only walked we once again brought them back here to help us understand the data.

And how we could be so stupid to ultimately back Mao over Chiang Kai-shek. Yes, I get that we gave the KMT major support during the war, but that was only to defeat Japan. Once that was done we basically turned our back on Kai-shek & his lovely wife the Dragon lady!

Both wanted to be dictators. There would have been far less killing with Kai-shek. China would be a totally different country today if we had not picked a winner in that civil war.
