About time. Scott Wingo had his dream job at Carolina and Kingston ran him off, that says all you need to know right there.

0 faith in no pay Ray to make a good hire, he needs to be gone as well. I imagine Ray will hire Monte Lee as head coach. Clempsonites were tickled pink to hear we had hired him away.

Pretty quick process as that is Ray's highest and best use.

They were obviously a very poorly coached team. I think Kingston is a great guy, but I don't want him as my school's baseball coach. Fundamentally they were terrible all year. It wasn't a coincidence or fluke here and there. It was very frustrating to watch elementary mistakes game after game on the basepaths etc. Almost everyone's approach at the plate, aside from the few big sticks, seemed to be "look for a walk" rather than looking for hit and protecting the plate with 2 strikes. Monte Lee needs to be gone as well...send him back to Clemson, although I know they don't want him either.

I’m not a betting man but if I was, I’d put a hundy on Landon Powell.

There are a few reasons I don't like that idea, but the main one is what if he doesn't succeed? Then what? You run one of the most loved Gamecocks out of town? It just won't look good should that happen. If he does get the job I hope he's there forever.

Can’t play the “what if” game. He has succeeded in baseball his entire life. Someone who takes the job, knows the expectation especially following these past years of underperforming. I look at it as an opportunity not a risk.

Going to be interesting for sure. I think Landon is the feel good hire but that didn't work out so well last time with Chad. Personally I think it ends up being the guy from ECU or the assistant from TN.

Powell is a friend...but also a D2 guy that benefited from failed D1 guys transferring in and dominating......He needs to succeed at the Citadel or something.

Tanner will swing and miss at trying to underpay bi names and settle for a young assistant from a SEC school.

Kingston already in mix back at USF.......obviously had his head in the game this past weekend

Ray should hire himself as head coach and fire himself as AD

ECU turned down Ray T. for the head baseball coach position at SC.

I would grab the guy from as ECU called it, and I quote, "The worst pistol ever made" university of High Point. Man put together a team and put a SEC Golden Vandy Boyz outta town in a hurry.
