Finally messed around and found one who wanted to play ball. Rain quit at 615, I got out of the truck and I was standing over him by 650. My opportunities to hunt have been limited this season but I have been fortunate enough to have 4 birds within gun range, the first 3 all seemed to find a way to keep themselves out of the crosshairs. Storms kept them tight lipped, but I have watched these birds enough to have an idea where they want to be. Gave a soft series of 3 and 5 note yelps and within minutes, this guy was strutting at 30 yards.
