    Default Rubber Snake Boots

What is the best rubber snake boot these days? Looked at Mucks but seemed like a winter boot.

I wear Lacrosse Lagrange boots with a set of turtle skins over them. I will never go back to a regular snake boot again.

They are pretty comfortable, light weight, but they can be hot.

I wore several pair of Chippewa for 25 years. Bought some Russells 15 years ago. They are both good. I have been wearing Lacrosse Alpha Burley Uninsulated for the last 10 years. There is not a snake in North America that could penetrate them. Plus they are waterproof and wear like tennis shoes. My Russells sit in the closet waiting for my son to wear them in a few years.

    Agreed. Wear something comfortable.

Agree. Been in the woods for 46 years now. Never encountered a snake and never worn snake boots. Watch me get bit this fall.

Exactly. Snakes aren’t born with the ambition to bite you. They will most of the time find a reason not to bite you. In some weird event that one does try, any ol boot will protect you

I just got a pair of the lacrosse alpha agility snake boots. I’ve only turkey hunted in them once since I got them and they were fine. At the end of the day it’s still a hot rubber boot that’s kind of heavy but it’s not terrible.

Muck. I’ve never had rubber snake boots last more than 2 years. It’s year 6 and my Mucks are still rolling.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
