Default Bassmasters Classic and start to the year

Brandon just finished up the Classic in Tulsa, wound up 19th. Said he caught a lot of fish just never any big ones. He’s had a bumpy start to the year. Finished 87th at Toledo Bend and 47th at lake Fork. Sitting in 74th in AOY for next years Classic, they head to Florida for a couple events and then to Murray, hopefully he can get the season turned around. Patrick Walters is off to a good start and in 3rd for AOY. Justin Hamner won the classic, seems like a really good guy. Was cutting grass for a living a couple years back.
Anyway, a lot of turmoil around the sport right now with FFS, not sure where it will wind up. Technology changes, just not sure if it’s always for the best.

good stuff. He's my favorite BASS angler.
and the offer still stands for lessons if he needs them.
first part will be teaching him to fish sitting down.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

What’s the general thoughts from the guys on tour about it?

The ones that aren't good with it are complaining and the younger ones are kicking butt with it.

My opinion is that precision mapping hurt me more than FFS. For $125, everybody who didn't know how to map and fish offshore found you spots. Some of which had been a secret for 40 years.

Down scan, side scan, HB360, and precision mapping were also game changers, but they didn't complain about them.

I watched it the other day but nothing he said changes my view. And Randy Blauket is a washed up cry baby trying to make a living doing pod casts about the evils of FFS.

Couple of videos, 1st one shows how ridiculous some of it has gotten. Some boats running 8 graphs-$50k in electronics.

Then Brandon made this one with some of what he thinks.

I think it should at least have some limitations at the pro level.

I don't bass fish and have never used one of the things. I did however see a video of a guy using one to catch big shellcracker under trees at the upper lake. It was pretty impressive. He'd motor around until he found some, throw under and boom, fish on. It was impressive.
