My duck boat is small. I like it that way for my style of hunting. Occasionally I want to carry a large spread of decoys. I've tried towing a sled but it is tenuous at best. Anybody else use a tow behind and if so what? Thanks

I've towed my sneak boat and it handled well even at wide open throttle.

Thanks. Can you tell me what brand?
I have no idea what brand. I bought it from the Trading Post from Crippler many years ago and have made some good memories with it. I think any similar style boat would track well behind a tow boat.
It helps when towing a boat to let a length of rope drag behind the towed boat to keep it from crabbing.
A sled works well at paddling speed for me, never tried faster. I have towed my pirogue behind the jon boat planed out, but it is an experiment with rope length and decoy weight distribution every time. I'd advise to keep you gun in the boat no matter what. Until you have it dialed in, you're at risk for the towed boat to jump outside your wake and nosedive or roll.
