I would like to rebarrel my 300WSM. My .308 does all I need in .30 caliber. Thinking 7mm or 6.5wsm.
Anybody have any insight?

Yeah, don't rebarrel to any caliber ending in "short mag".

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

7 SAUM. Find a supply of ADG brass first.
It depends on what you want to do with it. If it’s just to do what the .308 does but in a different caliber, close your eyes and pick one that you can easily find ammo or reloading supplies for. If it’s bigger game, why rebarrel?

6.5 saum and get ammo from copper creek. Or just leave it as a 300 and if you are itching for a project turn your 308 into a 6 or 22 creed or a fast twist 22-250
6.5 PRC will work with the short mag bolt face and action. It’s very mild recoil and a long range death ray. There was a thread about 6.5 PRC on here. I’ve had a lot of good work out of PacNor in Oregon.
What about a prefit? What action?
