That’s an easy one.
Tidal river with broken rice fields.
Take 20 hunters with 14ft jonboats and 25hp outboards.
Many areas are inaccessible due to shallow tidal terrain, leaving plenty of rest areas even in a single field.
Most won’t put in the work to get to them.
Plenty of ducks use the river.
Now, give those same 20 guys mudmotors and free time…….. no more duckies on that river past the opening day.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
