    Default 2021 Jeep

Interesting experience. We have a 2021 JL with a manual transmission that the pressure plate came apart. It legit came apart and out the bell housing. It landed in the median on I-20 and caught the grass on fire. So Jeep Chrysler is aware of the issue and have not come with a conclusion. At the moment there are no parts nor remedy available so they warn drivers to pull over if they get “clutch overheat” message which is the latest recall. The recall reflashes the PCM to throw this message. This particular vehicle hasn’t had the reflash. Local dealer told them nothing they can do at the moment. Keep in mind 40k mikes and purchased new there.

We found a used transmission and upgraded the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel with an ACT kit. Customer is back on the road and I suppose Jeep is receiving the invoice certified mail. I’ll be interested in how they respond.

    More fuel = more boost!!

Lemon law wouldn’t be in effect here,, if I was that owner I would be getting my money back.
Well with it being a 21 model thatlaw goes away, either way sucks for the owner

There will be fine print somewhere that they will find and use that will void the warranty because of the oversized tires or something else silly.

    Uh......that's catastrophic failure.

So it's been slipping to the point it overheats to explosion? That's all I can figure.....

It says JEEP right there on the side. Might as well say Range Rover.
