    Stands for John Marlin and it signifies that it’s an original Marlin and not a Remington branded Marlin. The JM models are much better quality and more highly sought after

    Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

    10-4 on the JM 30-30’s. I wouldn’t dream of trade mine… a mid-70’s vintage, back when they made quality rifles.

    Looks like someone changed out the butt plate. All the ones I’ve seen have a thin hard plastic plate.

    Very Cool. I carried my Marlin this weekend and sat on the ground. Saw a ton of does and a few small bucks. Didn't pull the trigger, just enjoyed the hunt. Nothing like being down on their level.
