Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Been doing a little work on her in my free time, which is very limited. Transom is epoxied up and just needs fiberglass. I've got a few spots in the gel-coat on the bottom that I've got to sand down and patch up but then it's paint time.

Lookin' good Bo.
Getting a year old but great thread. Just stumbled on it. Still working on it or done and using it?
A friend of a friend owned and I think still owns molds for them. He lives on Lake Miccosukee outside of Tallahassee. I'm from down there originally. My dad had him build one for me to use on farm ponds when I was a kid. Mine is from 1999, and also have some engraved brass plaques that are in a keepsake box that we never put on it. We had a 10 HP Honda 4 stroke on ours. I hunted it all over North Florida and flats fished in it from the St Marks Lighthouse over to Carrabelle. It's currently sitting at our place in South GA but will likely be coming up to SC again at the end of the year. I'm ready to dust it back off and start taking my son fishing in it now. I have bought and sold boats like nobody's business but this one isn't going anywhere, ever. Mine has the seats and a little livewell in the center. For the longest time I've had the itch to cut out the seats and do a cooler and grab bar in the center like a small tiller flats skiff layout.

Sorry for the late response, still working on it. Other projects and life in general got in the way for a little while. I'm back to piddling on it when i have time. I'm in Crawfordville so this one will be seeing the same waters.
Just to update, it got good enough to use so I took it out west for a hunting trip and then it sat in the shop for a while. I've gotten another layer of fiberglass on the bottom, faired the entire bottom and painted it with super slick bottom coating.
Now it's flipped over and on a trailer I found on fb and rebuilt. Got an on the fly jack plate and a 25hp yamaha for her and I replaced the removable center hatch lid with a waterproof lockable lid. I'm going to reinforce the keel from the inside, pour closed cell foam all down the floor and close it in for a solid flat floor which will make it rock solid.
Last will be paint and electronics and then water time.

Dang that thing is slick!! I’m not a huge duck hunter but I’d love to have something like that just for the novelty of it!

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
How does she do with the 25 hp on her?
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

I bet that thing scoots.
