My Mom turned 63 Wednesday and my Dad turned 65 yesterday. We never got to throw my Dad a retirement party a few years ago because of Covid so we decided to throw him a suprise party Tonight at their house. Got about 45 people coming over so it was time to fire up the smoker. Got butts, smoked cream cheese, brisket baked beans and a ton of other sides that my mom is making.

That's awesome, Adam. Hope it's a good time for the old man.

Yes sir. Rub of choice and smoke on about 225 for 1-1/2 to 2 hours and then top with your favorite pepper style jelly and eat with crackers.

Somebody been ready some Hank Shaw. That recipe is absolutely delicious. The key is the pan fry to crisp one side of the meat at the end.

    Great looking plate!!

Dammit son. All I see is that nasty green shit in the middle. I’d still probably give it a go…

Went and caught some groceries down in the Big Pine Key for the girlfriends birthday.

Fresh caught blackened snapper and swordfish, lobster and ribeye.

Finished the rest of the week at Cheeca Lodge. Work will suck tomorrow

Damn swampknob. You mention catching fish and lobsters and said nothing about catching a pair of mermaids. You're living a pretty good life.
