If you don't know me how could I offend you?

If you are not a member of Delta or DU then you are living on duck welfare.

    Default Delta West

1/17 for us. Have not hunted there before. Hunted the east side in 2006. Lots of teal and a few shovelers on that hunt.

What can we expect on the West side?

It's also devoid of Tater since Simpleman is a bully and Camo Snob is intimidated by him...

When I hunted the east a couple years ago, the dnr guys were saying most of the mallards and black ducks killed were over on the west side. And the hunt results on the dnr website proved them right. From what I understand it's more timber-ish on the west, and the east are old open rice fields.
Delta in a nutshell:Breeding grounds+small wetlands+big blocks of grass cover+predator removal+nesting structures+enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

West is mostly timber with a few rice fields...If the mallards are down it's one of the best draws...if not go ahead and shoot your three woodies, there won't be much else there...

From what I remember they roosted in those woods and we were trying to decoy big ducks early and the woodrow shooting made it impossible.
Did decoy some big ducks later in the morning- stand in the woodline and
pass shoot first then go decoy -of course that is only MHO.

Watched hundreds of mallards/ black ducks drop into that side. We were hunting the east side and they just would not cross 17. Just depends on the weather. Cold, go. Warm, I would stay home.
