I know right. My plans were originally rejected. Then I worked with the county engineer and he helped me out to get where I needed to be and he stamped them.
It may not seem like a lot in this picture but it was a full day. 2 hours of staining and trip to Lowes mixed in. What took the longest was the dang strong ties. That was a lot of nailing. Sub facia, three corbels, two more rafters, and two more 6x6s bolted to the concrete. Didn’t get to the outer truss but hopefully I can find time to do that out this week. No baseball this weekend so I’d like to be at a point the roof can go on come Saturday.

I feel like it’s starting to take shape. Two more post and two more rafters and she’ll be ready for a roof. Taking the ridge beam brace out was kind of nerve racking. I don’t know why but I wasn’t trusting all the work I had done up to that point and just pictured the entire thing crumbling down.

Looks good Sir!
Bone....
nice work
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
I know it won’t look like much to most and the differences are subtle but another full day out there and it’s now ready for a roof. But before that can go on, I’ve got to prime and paint all the t1-11. I’m using that as the sub roof decking, then the deck, inspection and then shingles. Then I’ll need to step back and enjoy life for a while. It won’t take much to get the siding up but I may not finish the inside for a while.

I run veneer sheathing, then strip osb on joist, then osb, this way you can run wires between and not see it.
T1-11 is your veneer. As in what’s seen.
I was suggesting a way to pull power and hide roofing nails.
Looks like a storm shelter. A pretty storm shelter.

Looks really good Rhett.
Nail a couple of deer antlers on the columns, add a burn barrel, maybe a rebel flag......
Looks sharp!
Some pics of t&g run with double strip sheathing to hide nails and wires.
