    Default Youth opener, bird down!

Son #1 smoked 1 at 10 yards! Bird hung up at 50 yards, buddy sitting with my son Cole hit the call and the bird saw the decoys and made a b-line in! Never gobbled. Weather is horrible but the rain has stopped for a bit. More pics to come. 10" beard 1" spurs. Trying to get son #2 Sullivan on a bird now.IMG_20230318_083843003(1).jpg

Congratulations. My grandson and I cancelled our trip to Florida for his youth hunt because of the weather forecast there. Decided to set up the Pop up in the back yard and take advantage of the youth weekend here in SC. Scouted yesterday and hunted this morning. Didn't hear a peep but it was a successful hunt as far as I'm concerned. We saw a coyote and broke every stick in the woods to make spears and walking sticks. Heard some of the most gawd awful sounds come out of one of Ricky's pot calls and stomped in every mud puddle on the club.
Tonight we are sleeping in the camper and cooking deer heart fajitas from a deer he killed. If it gets any better than this I won't be able to stand it.

Congratulations again to the young man. Hope you get the other one on a bird as well.

Congratulations! Took my grandson for only the second time. Woods were quiet but we did get to put a sneak on a bird before his hen drug him away. Loved every minute of it
