    Pretty sure we’ve caught them in Russell and Jocassee. Definitely caught the other three between Jocassee, Keowee, and Hartwell.

    These DNR "slams" have been around since we were kids. I remember qualifying for one that had something to do with deer/turkey/trophy fish or something in the 80's, but never sent off for the certificate because it was, in fact, stupid as shit...

    Doing it for Facebook is goofy, but targeting different fish (or duck species) than normal is a cool change of pace that can take you to some different territory that you might not have seen otherwise. I still need the redeye.

    I know a guy that caught a 3 pound smallmouth way up the Wyboo Arm of Lake Marion. Remember when you could catch them in the midlands, and the only other people you'd see on a Saturday were Mexicans handlining catfish? Good times.
