I don’t think expanded playoffs are going to do anything but water down the regular season and lead to a bunch of playoff games that are blowouts
I’m too lazy to look up the 12th tank team is but under the current proposed 12 team playoff format they’d get to travel to Neylamd Stadium to play 5th ranked Tennessee. That won’t be close
12 is too much

You can dress a fat chick up, but you cant fix stupid
Greater than 4 team playoffs happen in literally every other football division and every sport besides D1 football.
But THAT'S the group that can't do it successfully?!
Where's the lobbying to reduce the number of playoff teams in those other sports and football leagues for the reasons stated?

I would love the 12 team playoff.
12 is the right number.
Eliminate the small school game from the regular season schedule for the Power 5 conferences. 11 game regular season schedule.
This would be fun.
Current AP Poll Rankings For illustration:
#5 Tennessee vs #12 Oregon
#6 LSU vs #11 Penn State
#7 USC vs #10 Utah
#8 Alabama vs #9 Clemson
Top 4 get byes.
That would be a damn good opening playoff weekend. I think those are intriguing games.
Lowest ranked winner plays #1, next lowest plays #2, etc. in the quarterfinals. First two rounds at Higher seed home stadium. Semi finals and championship played at bowl sites like normal. Adds one extra game for the teams potentially, max.

carolina clemson at noon
what number in a row are we on?
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
8 is enough. If your regular season body of work doesn’t look like top 8 then you aren’t at NC level. the conference championships are unique to college football and shouldn’t be diminished by participation trophy playoff system.

Out of the playoff years, did anybody get cheated?
ACC has gotten the benefit of the doubt a few times. This year. Would a 1 loss North Carolina ACC champ get in over a 1 loss Tennessee?
I agree, with a 12 or 16 team playoff it would be beneficial for the top 2 or 3 schools to bench the starters for the conference championship game or sit it out all together, i would say no more than 8 team playoff or even a 6 team playoff with a bye for the top 2 teams and a some sort of wild card play in games
To put all this ignorant shit into perspective, y’all need to stop arguing about it long enough to say a few prayers for Bigtimber2’s family as he passed away not long ago.
But, to answer the question, God is good and Andy is in His hands now.
