He and Eddie Cribb were friends. Eddie stuck with wood and Marc made both wood and Acrylic.
They were very good calls.

Speaking of calls & sorry for hijacking the post.
If anyone has an RM Custom they want to off load, please let me know.
Bought one of his first acrylic calls in blue. Started developing spider cracks throughout. He replaced it with another blue one. It got stolen with my first band and two wood ducks out the back of my truck.
I have one identical to the laminated one with green acrylic stopper.
Low country redneck who moved north
I’ve got the same one as the OP. Good one.

If I’m not mistaken I think one of our members blew his call in the Worlds and won. Superfly
Id give you $50 for it...
Life's a garden, Dig it.
I have a clear/clear acrylic that's going on 20 years old that still sounds great.
I don't need my name in the marquee lights....
when who blows it?
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
I didn't say it sounded like a duck - just sounds good.

A few close friends of mine competed for Mark in high school and still have a few of his calls.
I have a pot call Mark made, but far the deadliest call I ever owned and will make one gobble when nothing else will. So good that I had him make me 3. I must have gotten lucky with the first one because those 3 sounded terrible.
Not mine but I know where they live.

I’ve got a raggio custom I’ll let go for $650 if anyone wants it shoot me a Pm
I got an Ackerman in the collection. It sounds ok.
I have a corian Raggio too, one off call paying homage to a Weedy’s. It would take more than $650 though.
Marc competed multiple Worlds after winning the SC State title, but don't believe he ever won.
He's coached numerous protégés that won at the State level but think any of them had ever won the World. Come to think of it I can't recall a Sandlapper ever winning the World.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

One of the guys that Marc coached won the Junior World.
