I’m so glad I traded mine in for a tundra. Not really liking my gas bill but I would rather pay a gas bill than a mechanic bill.
So KRT, if you had an F150 with an eco boost right now that is stock with 96k miles on it, what are some things that you would be doing to it? Don’t say get rid of it because I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off!
And about how much does this cost? I have a feeling that is what I'm dealing with. Just passed 125k and it started almost to the mile at 125k.
My ECO had 275,000 miles on it when I traded her off. Still ran like a scalded dog and got 20 or so MPG.
Followed the maintenance recommendations and changed the oil every 3-5000.
F**K Cancer
Just Damn.
I had mine done at 80K. Ford paid 2/3 of the repair.
Sounds lime they're trying to copy Honda.

This repair ran about $4300.00 with all chains, tensioners, actuators, and solenoids. We also cleaned valves.
Ford claims you don’t have to replace all the above but why would you not that deep in?
More fuel = more boost!!
Does this always throw codes?
Have you seen 11-14 5.0 trucks have the same issue minus the dirty valves?
Would it make sense for Sport mode to stop the rattling?
