Ramsey Grove a state park? Really? They can't be serious! There was a buyer lined up for that tract as soon as it was for sale that would have paid full asking and now they are going to ruin the property to make it a flipping park. What about the wildlife that relied on that property? Our state is so screwed up.
For the ducks
Another cat 1 wma? No way they can keep Ramsey Grove up.
stuff costs money
private ownership would be way better....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
It wasn't in private ownership before. It was owned by a quasi-governmental, highly regulated, government granted monopoly owned by the State of South Carolina and the rate payers were paying for it.
It was private perk of the executives of the company and their invitees. I doubt very many residential rate payers were ever invited to partake.
I am sure the value of the property was was hidden in the rate base so they could have the PSC grant them rate increases to assure a guarantied rate of return on the ratepayers money they spent buy it.
Additionally, it was kept up with rate payers money, which more properly should have been used for power grid upkeep and maintenance.
SCE&G rate payers/customers paid for it through increase electrical bills.

The only good thing about my imperfections is the joy they bring my friends.
Beware the man with one gun...he probably has other faults also.
well, my group has four preference points, they need to lock it up, and get some paperwork done
It's mild compared to the shenanigans of Duke Energy and Crescent.
