    Default Mark and Dude

Charleston Retriever Club Member Mark Massey and his retriever GRHRCH Big Black Dude II have quite an accomplishment to be proud of after this grand. Mark has owned and trained Dude since he was a pup. This has only been a short while, about 2 years. Dude passed his first grand in April at Madison, Georgia. He followed that by passing his second Grand in Iowa 6 months later. GRHRCH at 2.5 years of age and going 2 for 2 is quite an accomplishment. But that's not all! Mark has trained Dude without the use of an ecollar. You talk about natural retrieving talent and a great trainer! All of us in CRC are extremely proud of Dude and Mark for setting the standard for many years to come. Congrats Mark for training a Grand Hunting Retriever Champion.

The Dude was the class of the field all week. He was like a machine. Not only did he go two for two at consecutive Grand’s at less than 2-1/2 years of age he had a perfect score. A pair of two's every day. Stephen Durrence (Farmboy) did a magnificent job on handling the Dude. They are quite a team. Here is a photo that up close photo ( http://www.upclosephoto.com/photos/main/ ) posted on another forum of the Dude in action:

No doubt an awesome accomplishment. I hope Mark and Dude plan on shooting for higher accomplishments. He is a fine specimen of a retriever.

Congratulations Mark and Dude... I think it was the three helpings of Chicken Bog at the club trials that energized the trainer !!!

Mark and Dude, Cudos to the two of you for a fine showing at the Grands!! 2 for 2 your batting 1000, in base ball lingo that puts you in the "Hall". Great job!! Congrats to Stephen for driving the ship to a phenominal feat.
