He should get the death penalty.
What is craziest to me, after seeing wrecks like this working them over the last 12 years, is how one party can just walk away from that like nothing happened. Just a sore neck and a bit of pain...
The dearly departed and her dog were incinerated.

Impulse control is a sumbitch and certain cultures just don’t teach it.
There are plenty of lottery winners of all races that can't handle the new wealth. It's just athletes are more visible and more numerous.

Yep. His career and life is basically over but a poor innocent individual lost her life over such a stupid event that is preventable. Prayers to the victim and her family
One poor decision can ruin someone for a lifetime.
Several years back there was an Assistant Baseball coach at Anderson Univeristy , never even had a speeding ticket in his life , Was in a truck and hit a small compact car head on right in front of AU Dorms. Killed 3 people including a young mother with a 1yr old at home who was my BIL Niece. A teenager in the car only survived due to the Deputy Corner being able to an emergency procedure on here that saved her life Guy was 3X+ above legal limit and he walked away.
These are senseless things that should not happen. And folks wonder why we are moving to fully autonomous vehicles

(At least) two lives gone just like that. Three if you include the dog. Dang shame.
Alcohol has killed more people and ruined more lives than any substance in the history of humanity. But lets keep weed illegal and force vaccinations for public safety.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
-Samuel Adams
I agree. As an old man that hunt with always says “Be careful what you wish for “
Senseless YES, Death Penalty no way
Yep
Interesting conversation with Mark Keel Chief of SLED, he was talking about it at a Drivers Ed conference 3-4 yrs back. He is dead against it naturally and one of the big reasons he said was very hard(at least at that time ) to charge someone for driving under the influence of it. Said there were some tests but those results were easy for an attorney to rip apart

Here's some sage advice:
Don't break the law, when you're breaking the law.
Not a slippery slope at all- large difference between his actions and your examples.
Do I think someone driving double the legal limit deserves the death penalty? No- Kills someone while doing it - yes
Do I think someone driving 156 on a residental street deserves the death penalty? No- Kills someone while doing it-yes
Double drunk driving 156 on a residential street and kill someone- cops should have drug him out of the wreck and shot him dead on site. Someone that cares that little will do it again. No second chance for that MFer
The real mystery here is how someone got a Corvette to go that fast...
