If you have not ever peen popped by one, it is pure misery for 2 hours. I stepped on one in high school but don’t remember it feeling like this one.

Hot as you can stand water.
Sorry to hear that. Hope you get over it quick,
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-
One way to get hot water while fishing is to use tell tail of motor.
Crikey, Mate!
I always just cut the line when I catch one of those bastards. Pulled one in the boat about 20 years ago and it stung a life jacket. As hard as it was to get that damn thing out of the life jacket, I figure I'd rather not take a chance of having one in me.
Like most things, it was stupidity on my part. I was hoping I would pass out. I may have I don’t remember much about the boat ride back. I stayed for about an hour trying to tough it out. Miserable doesn’t describe it. Finally got to hot water 2 1/2 hours in. Ain’t gonna lie, got a little worried when the pain moved to my airpit.

Never been hit, but saw one put a 60 year old Hoss in the fetal when I was a boy.
I decided right then and there I’d tread lightly around those bastards.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Dang thing is still swollen. Managed to rip half my fingernail off on the cast net. I’m done fishing for the year.

I've been stung twice. Like others have stated put hot as you can stand water on it and wait it will take 45 min to completely break down the toxin. The pain will stop once in the water but it is important to keep the wound submersed for the full 45 min. The last time I was stung I tried the water from the motor thing and it didn't really help.
Been hit once in the tip of my finger, no hot water, but I had ibuprofen and downed a bunch. Four hours before I could get off the boat. Pain surged with every heart beat...it definitely sucks...
got popped on dewees five or so years ago. didnt think much of it till I started feeling queasy. ten minutes later, my arm hurt like hell. didnt have any meds but had hot water. it seemed to help some. I wont make that same mistake again until I make that same mistake again.....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
I’m assuming most of you were trying to remove a hook?
Those bastards can keep the hook
