We have a beautiful pond in our neighborhood and I have caught a gazillion bass
and bream out of it and most have sores and such. I was told it was due to the runoff.

If there are crawfish present, then the water isn't as polluted as you believe. Crawfish are one of the most intolerant of pollutants in the water. They will typically be one of the first to disappear, when water becomes polluted.

Eating species be red and much bigger.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
They all turn red, once cooked.
