I love a Weber Kettle and have been hesitant to change, but dang that looks like it might be it.
As part of being their Guinea Pig, I got a free bag of pellets and free shipping.
The pellets have shown up.
Rec Tec hands down.
Bah! Humbug!
I just got a traeger pro 22,maybe should have been more patient to check others.

Most guys that ordered early will be getting theirs in the next week. I will be watching the reviews.

Well, I really want to like it, but I'm not recommending it just yet. First off, I think I should have bought the smaller one. I just don't generally have enough stuff to cook to justify the bigger one. That's on me, though. My gripes / comments:
* The software / app just straight up sucks. It's buggy, not intuitive, and not responsive. There aren't a lot of choices for programs, and the ones there are not sorted in any easily discernible fashion. They aren't alphabetical or grouped by cut of meat, etc. I'm sure this will be resolved in time, but Weber should not have put this out on the market yet. It's not a good look. The two times that I tried to use a program, the end result was wayyy undercooked. Also, once you start a program, you can't stop it. Don't even think about unplugging the grill. That blows its mind, and it has to go through a shut down process (15 minutes), and then restart to get back up to temp (another 15 minutes). You're screwed when this happens.
* The hopper has a shitty design and capacity. I put some butts on, and went to bed. Next morning, it was cold. The pellets didn't slide all the way down to the chute, it ran out of fuel, and shut down. 20 pound capacity of pellets lasts about 10 hours, obviously less if the pellets don't feed. Again, probably would do better in the smaller model.
* It's loud. When the fan is running and the auger is moving chips down, it's noisy. Not a huge deal, but it's noticeable.
* The outside seems to be of Weber quality, but I'm not impressed with the guts. The things that the flavor bars sit on fall from time to time, especially if you move the grill around. It seems to be a poor design.
Overall, I'm still willing to work with it some more, but I wouldn't buy one right now. For the money and the name, Weber has some damage control to work on. On their website, the grill currently only has a 3 star rating. Ouch.

Your review is about what I have seen so far. Surprising they effed this up like they did. I am glad I canceled my order. I hope it gets better for you.
