What's everyone using?
Had a powerbelt aerolite fail to expand yesterday evening, exit was the same as the entry and barely any blood. Giving the hornady SST a try, any other recommendations?
Take the gun , bullets, anything related and throw it in the nearest river. That’s what the injuns did with the stick and string when they got something better.
In all seriousness, The SST by Hornaday is better.
What type of muzzleloader?
I shoot a .45 smokeless and have had great results in accuracy and terminal performance with SST.
IMO sabots are more crucial than brand of bullet in muzzleloaders. Harvester crush rib sabots have increased accuracy in every ML load I’ve tried ever. Arrowhead.com is a good source to buy if you can’t find them local.

"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters" Norman Maclean.
Fuck them smoke poles. Just wait til 10/11 when you can take a reliable weapon.
