Honestly I dont see why that wouldnt work for bowhunting.............as long as it is accurate within +/- a yard I would go for it...........the most you need to shoot is 40 yards anyway so try it out to there and see if it works...........hey it's a cheap alternative.............tell me how it works.........

get it, take it out in the yard and measure some distances-- see just how accurate it is. If it is consistently within 3yds out to 50yds then i'd say it'll do you but any more than that and i'd get a regular small rangefinder- costs more but is more dependable.
It may not seem like much- but when the arrow drops right under a bigguns chest the only good thing about a range finder that was $49 will be the replacement fee when you throw it !!
