Apalachicola oysters aren't as good as ours.
Nope.
Life was a lot harder back then. That was the year my grandmother was born in May. They didn't name her until early fall when they harvested the peanuts. It's amazing how many children did not survive to see one year of age.
They don’t look like they smoke American Spirit nonfilters in the black and white photo.
Life's to short to eat Gulf oysters.
I’ll eat TX oysters, they can have a good bit of salt, but Apalachicola oysters over SC’s? Blasphemy...
Gulf oysters are pretty but lack flavor
The one on the left looks like a young version of "Ruth Ann" from the Ozark series
Pretty bland is what they are. Oysters should be comsumed from the estuaries from Wilmington down to the SC/GA line if you care about quality.
