Dad is 80 years-old and normally has a deer or two by this time of year but just hadn't been seeing deer.
He carried a very immobile 86-year-old a couple of weeks ago. The older gentleman can't really even walk now so dad had to literally drive him to the foot of the stand. As luck would have it, the old guy killed a decent buck that slid down in to a deep ditch. Dad had to drag the deer out by himself then get it in the truck, with the processors closed or full, he had to skin and quarter the deer himself. He was whooped.
He killed his first of the season this evening. He's not even home yet but my nephew sent some photos...the deer is wider than he looked on trail cam...I'm glad my 6' 4" nephew was with him now I just hope the processors are taking deer again.
