Small window unit, that'll run off of the generator. That way you have a decompression room for the wife.

Milk crates for your propane tanks, keeps kids and dogs from tipping them over.

I mean if you're going to have your face on a historical record like a bi-weekly paper, you don't want to look back and think " that big johnson t-shirt really was never cool".. Because it wasn't and I've never owned one, but you get my drift.

The more you open them, the more you need to keep them plugged in. If you can avoid opening them, a chest freezer will stay frozen a couple days. But I would plug it in for a couple hours each day. You will need to run the fridge and bit more. Wives and kids have a hard time grasping the concept of leaving the door closed.

So my 30 something year old t-shirts I got from Myrtle Beach wouldn't be appropriate attire for the photo ops during and after the storm?

rolling with a stack of $100's is useless.

no bills larger than $20. But have lots of $5's

Only run your generator to top off the fridge/freezer, it doesn't need to run the entire time. We went 7 days last year without power - it sucked.

Most important of all, cook chicken bog before you lose power. :P

Exactly. Cooking a bog out of the freezers of dipshit neighbors who didn't procure generators is one of life's simple pleasures.

Put a thermometer in the fridge/freezer to help you know when to kick the generator on/off.
